Black is Beautiful, Love the skin you’re in.

The seperations and divisions in the black community stem from a still prevalent slave mentality. Some of us though done subconsciiously are still revelling in the whole “field niggers” and “house niggers” caste system. We are an ununified people because of this, if we cannot accept one another based on skin colour alone, how are we supposed to ever move forward and progress. Dark skins vs. Light skins? Absolute nonsense. last time I checked we are all black. This ignorant mentality uplifts the lighter counter parts in our community and down plays the beauty of darker skinned people. Sometimes its done maliciously and sometimes its just an innate or learned mentality that is passed down. Which ever one its wrong and it needs to stop, black is beautiful whether you are light skinned or darked skinned.

We are a broken people. Broken intellectually, physically and internally. This slave mentality still persists and is evident in the very way we interact with one another. Some of us are so weak to think that we are superior to others who are very much in the boat as us. There is no need for us to indulge the rigid seperatitst mentality that we worked so hard to overcome.

The lighter the skin tone, the more beautiful a person is. The more european the features the more elevated ones status is. Basically downplaying the heritage  that is black. We really need to stop this self hate, and rise up together as one to uplift our broken commarades and stop the war amongst ourselves.

Black is BEAUTIFUL,
